Croatian Iván Rakitic was proud of the season that Sevilla stars in and assured this Friday night in Jaén that “he is achieving incredible things”, but pointed out that he must “continue with humility and match by match to achieve important goals.”
The Sevilla midfielder, who was awarded by the digital newspaper Palabra de Fútbol and the Jaén City Council, stressed that last weekend they made many people happy with the victory in the derby against Real Betis by 0-2
“It was a very beautiful victory with a lot of work and we dedicate it to our fans, who always support us,” said Rakitic after receiving the award from Julio Millán, mayor of the city of Jaén.
The Sevilla squad has a break until Monday and the Croatian player is looking forward to “going back to training to prepare for the next matches” with the aim of “making more history with Sevilla FC”.
Rakitic also remembered his time at Barcelona, where he had “the privilege of winning everything and playing with the best in the world”.
