‘Having tea’ with President Chen Yansheng

The first “tea with the President” was held at the RCDE Stadium. The president of RCD Espanyol, Chen Yansheng, has met virtually with a small representation of the blue and white club world.

Along with Araceli Pérez, president of the Catalan Federation of Penyes de l’Espanyol, other presidents have attended: Jordi Bou, from the Penya de Roda de Ter; Jaume Lladó, from the Penya d’Argentona; Oscar Pitarch, from the Penya d’Olost; Isaura Valle, from Penya Torredembarra; Josep Badia, from Penya Pericos Berguedà; Pere Joan Olivella, from the Penya Pericos Sant Sadurní; Rafa Aragón, from the penya of Sant Joan Despí; Josep M. Serrat, from the Periquitos Riudecanyes penya; Silvia de la Gandara, from Runners Espanyol and member of the FCPE; Santi Prat, from La Penya de Breda and member of the FCPE; Salvador Fosas, from La Penya de Sabadell and vice president of the FCPE; and Anton Roig, from La Penya de Reus and vice president of the FCPE.

Chen Yansheng wanted to thank the support of the Blue and White clubs in the most difficult moments of the Club: “All the credit goes to the fans. Without them we would not have risen to First so fast. We have always had this union and my wish is to maintain it. It is the engine of the Club “, he stressed in the first place.

He also wanted to make it clear that the club is not for sale: “I continually receive rumors and even real proposals. This is positive, since it means that the Club is attractive and that we are doing things well. But in the six Years that I have been President, I have never put Espanyol up for sale, “he said.

And he has assured that his “management idea does not depend on sporting results” and that he has “bet on Espanyol whenever he has needed it and it will always be like that”.

The representatives of the supporters’ clubs have shared their suggestions and concerns with the President in a relaxed talk and in a very familiar atmosphere.
