Bayern will be without Kingsley Coman until 2022. The French winger, who retired injured on Tuesday against Stuttgart in a Bundesliga match (5-0 for Munich), will miss the last game of the year for the Bavarians on Friday (in the German championship against Wolfsburg). This was announced by Bayern on Wednesday.
The tests revealed that Coman suffers a muscle tear in the back of his right leg. It happened in the 26th minute in a defensive action and he immediately asked for the change.
On the eve of the game against Stuttgart, Julian Nagelsmann, Bayern coach, explained that Coman was “a bit fatigued” but was making the list due to casualties.
Bayern are leaders of the Bundesliga, with 9 points more than Borussia Dortmund (who play this Wednesday against Greuther Fürth).
After the day that begins this Friday, the Bundesliga rests until January 7.
