Dani Ceballos was present this Sunday at the Benito Villamarín stadium to witness the derby between Real Betis and Sevilla FC, which ended with a 0-2 away victory. Hours before the game Dani Ceballos published a tweet encouraging the Betic team and then witnessed the clash in one of the private boxes at the Heliópolis stadium.
The midfielder, who is finishing the final stretch of his recovery, took advantage of the two days off that Ancelotti gave to the Madrid squad after the victory against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday to travel to the Andalusian capital.
Dani Ceballos was about to join Betis at the end of last August, on loan from Real Madrid -with whom he has a contract until June 2023-, and the option of joining the next transfer market in the January is still on the table. The Utreran suffered a major ankle injury during the Tokyo Olympics with the Spanish Olympic team and is now in the final stretch of his recovery.
Aleix Espargaró, another luxury spectator of the derby
Another exceptional spectator, who watched the match from Benito Villamarín’s preferred stands with his wife and two daughters – all wearing Real Betis shirts – was former motorcycling world champion (CRT category) Aleix Espargaró, who was fulfilled one of the dreams of his life. “I can already cross off my #WishList to see a Sevillano derby live! My grandmother (Sevillana) is from Betis, so Betis must lose! #ElGranDerbi”, the motorcyclist wrote in his Twitter account, along with several photos with his wife and daughters at the gates of Benito Villamarín and inside the stadium.
